Gameplay Updates

  • Population Upgrade Tooltip - Changed the Population Upgrade to include tooltip showing the Mobilixation penalty after some players were confused why their population upgrades changed each turn.

Gameplay Updates

  • Covert Operations - Covert Operations now operate in Cells. The smaller the cell the harder they will be able to detect. The larger the cell, the more information they can obtain, but the risk of discovery increases dramitically. Your Spies will now iniate Routine Investigations in order to discover Cells and when detected you will be alerted to a new Cell's presence. You will be presented with 2 options - Expel which removes the spies from your Empire and result in a loss of intel points from the Empire. Investigate which you can attempt to discover all units of the cell operating in your empire, see who is the owner and prepare some retaliation.
  • Game Notifications - The following game messages will no longer send a mail and instead create a notification.
    1. You have been given MV Points
    2. Exploration Mission Returns
    3. Upkeep Hits
    4. Bonus MV Points Earned
    5. When a player is recruited and completed the Tutorial
  • Mailbox - Mailbox now displays each message seperately, and displays a preview of the text within the message.
  • Alliance Member Count - Member count is shown on the Alliance Page.
  • Ship Purchase - Flipped the order of the Ship Purcahse page so the largest ships appear at the top of the list

Gameplay Updates

  • Alliance - Basic Alliance features have been added. In the initial version players will be able to create thier own or join other Alliances. The Universe (on Desktop) and Player profile page will display your Alliance name.
  • Base Points Reset - You can now reset your Base Points in the Account Settings page. You can purchase Base Point Resets from the Multiverse Points page.
  • Officers - Changed the method of which you can see an officers army size on the players profile page. You must now have Active Covert Operations in order to know a Commanders Officer army size.

Gameplay Updates

  • Tutorial Changes - The Tutorial now awards MV Points rather than resources. As MV Points are rare, we feel these are more valuable to new players.
  • Registration Changes - Players will now have an option of "quick registering". Previously this was a long winded process. New players are now a couple of clicks away from playing the game..
  • Removal of Races - Trademark Races have been removed from the game. These may be replaced by legal versions in a future update or dropped completely. Relevant content has been renamed / removed.

New Attack System

  • Attacks will no longer directly steal a player's available resources. Instead, we have now introduced a Pillaging and Mobilization system.
  • Pillaging - Rather than stealing on-hand resources, attacks are targeted towards production. When an attack is successful, the attacker will earn resources based on the income of the defender, whom will suffer reduced income, but lose nothing.
  • Mobilization - When a player is successfully attacker, their mobilization level will increase to 100%. A high mobilization level both reduces the profitability of attacking a player, and reduces their income. At the moment, this deduction is at a rate of 2.5:1. Meaning if a player is at 25% mobilization, they will see a 10% deduction to all production, and a 40% deduction at 100% mobilization. Mobilization reduces automatically at a rate of 5% per turn.

Gameplay Updates

  • Covert Operations - Additional improvements to Covert Operations to make them smoother, and easier to use.
  • Commanders - Rules around changing commanders have been changed. You can no longer make officers, or new players your commander. Commanders will now be notified if you have a new officer or if one leaves.
  • Player Level Ranking - Previously Ranking was determined by a players Attack, Hull and Covert Power failing to account for the complete account. Now ranks are determined through a players Fleet Rank (your ships), Economy Rank (your income) and Technology Rank (your research) which generate the player rank. Ranks are now organised by this method.
  • Removal of the Bank - Since on-hand resources can no longer be stolen, the bank has been removed. Resources spent on bank storage upgrades (food & metal) have been partial refunded.

Mobile Updates

  • Background - The background image has been replaced with a simple textured colour pattern.

Misc Updates

  • UI - Minor interface improvements, specifically around Player pages.
  • Universe - The Universe Page will no longer display on-hand resources,(since you can't steal these). Instead, the page has been updated to show you the mobilization rate of enemy fleets, and an estimate of what you might earn from attacking them.
    The fleet rating, quick attack / spy report buttons have been moved to improve visibility.
  • Language Support - A basic language support system has been added converting all game text into translatable strings. The first version includes English US, with the ability to easily add Spanish, German and Russian (please contact Game Admin if you wish to help translate). New languages can be added easily enough provided someone is willing to translate. For this update, only a small portion of strings have been translated, but this is to show what we can do.
  • Number Formats - Numeric values (mostly on the universe page for now) are now displayed in a simplified exponential style format, allowing for more consistent display of large numbers which hopefully is not too confusing.

  • MV Points - Fixed a bug displaying available MV Points to a user.
  • Recruitment - Fixed a bug with the recruitment links which had a space between the website and the players ID..

Gameplay Updates

  • New Covert System - We have replaced the old Covert System with something a little more dynamic. The new system will require you to deploy Covert Agents into enemy lands to collect intel over time.
  • New Notification System - A notification system has been created to bring you general alerts about actions relevant to your account. Attacks against you, War / Peace declarations, and upkeep losses will now appear here rather than your mail inbox.
  • Upkeep Losses - Ships lost through a lack of sufficient food will now go to the repair shop instead of being destroyed
  • Declaring War - You can now no longer declare war on brand new players. This gives the newer players a chance to "settle in" before becoming involved in game politics.

Mobile Updates

  • Significant amounts of unnecessary code and redundant art assets have been removed or replaced, reducing page load times on slower connections
  • Small screen users should find slightly less wasted/empty space to left/right of page content.
  • A smaller image is now being used for the background on small screens.

  • War Phrases - Some new post Battle phrases have been added, and other less relevant ones removed.

Gameplay Updates

  • Relations - Setting war or peace with a player will now notify them by mail.
  • Notification Bar - The 'quick-bank' button on the notification bar will now deposit resources based on your attack type selection on the universe page.
  • Upkeep - A raised alert level will now improve the efficiency at which you can pay your upkeep from the bank.

  • Upkeep Farmers - Will now display exactly how many farmers more / less you require.
  • Recruitment - Recruitment link bonuses have been limited to 28 per month.

Gameplay Updates

  • Planetary Power - The attack system has been reworked to allow a more fair fight for defenders with smaller fleets. With these changes, outmatched defenders will obtain power from their home planet directed to the ships. As such, a defending Frigate can potentially become as powerful as a mighty Titan, should the situation be dire enough. In practice, attackers will receive more damage than would previously be expected when attacking smaller fleets
  • Attack Types - Attacks have been split into different types for specific resources. Attacking a player now costs 3 turns, for all resources, and 1 Attack Turn for an individual resource.
  • Attack Types -The quick attack shortcuts on the Universe page will default to the "credit stealing" attack type. A new menu has been added to the Universe page to change this.

  • Farmer's required upkeep - Added the amount of farmers required to produce the current upkeep in the tooltip above upkeep
  • Battle Logs - New improved Battle Logs that show information about battles more clearly.

Gameplay Updates

  • Message Board - We've created a message board directly inside the game to make communication and social activities more accessible to players. You can see latest posts inside the base
  • Research Tabs - Upgrades bring you back to the same section as previously, and we have included a "successful upgrade" message to notify you that the actual upgrade took place..
  • Player Resources - All resources now show on a players profile page. You need 1/6 of the enemy covert power to view Metal, and 1/5 for food.
  • Population Training - A max (what you can afford) button has been placed beside the population training tab. This will allow you to select 1 button to train your population..
  • Universe Protection - A player who is currently protected in the Universe will appear in blue in the rankings..
  • Universe Search - Returned the search options in the Universe Search.
  • Bank Credits Storage - Fixed a bug in Bank where it showed you negatives.
  • Bank Withdraw - Clicking / Tapping on bank stored amount will populate the Withdraw field with your total amount.
  • Bank Upkeep - Upkeep will now draw from the bank when your resources are depleted (or stolen). The current rate is 5X normal rate for upkeep. Once your bank supply is depleted your ships will disappear as normal

Misc Updates

  • Social Sharing - Added social sharing buttons directly to your recruitment link to make it easier to complete Tutorial Mission 16.
  • Stats - Added some more game stats (recent battles).

Mobile Specific Updates

  • Mobile / Repair Weapons - Repairing your weapons will return you directly to the repair shop.
  • Mobile / Universe Ranks - Removed the rank number of the players from mobile view. There are 25 ranks per page.

New Skin Updates

  • New Skin / Design - The new skin has been created using HTML5. This is a mobile and desktop friendly skin that offers players to easily access the game no matter what device they are using. (Note that mobile view may show less information than desktop in some areas). Note: We will be releasing the design to players to customize their own version in a future update
  • Navigation - Menu has been compressed to allow more room for players to interact with the game. The Main navigation has been moved to the top of each page, while the less visited pages are now displayed in the right left nav. On Mobile these are displayed via a Menu Toggle button.
  • Account Stats - Your Account Attack, Hull, and Ranking Status summary is now shown on the left hand side, and when you select the menu on Mobile view
  • Mail - Mail has been moved to the top of the page, you can see your most recent mail from here and reply accordingly
  • Recent Attacks - A brief summary about the most recent attacks is displayed at the top of every page giving players instant knowledge of attacks on their account for the last 2 days
  • MV Points - A summary of your MV points and what you can purchase using them is now shown at the top of each page. MV Points.
  • Next Turn - Next Turn time has been moved to the top right hand corner
  • Recent IP's - Recent IP's have been moved from the new page into the Account Settings page under the Security Settings tab.
  • Latest News - Added an external News page to allow visitors to see the Latest News

Game-play Updates

  • Attacks from Spy Logs - We've added buttons for the spy logs to attack their target directly from the logs.
  • Universe Attack & Spy - Attack & Spy buttons have been added directly to the Universe page. Will not display if the intended target is currently protected or if you are protected
  • Universe Resources - Metals and Food are now visible from the Universe page. You need 5x covert of your enemy to hide Food, and 6x covert of your enemy to hide Metal. (not available on Mobile)
  • Relations - Setting War / Peace with another player will no longer place a label beside their name, but rather a subtle shade of Red for war, and Green for peace.
  • Back to Universe - Back to Universe Button added for quicker farming.
  • Quick Bank - Added to the top of the page to bank your Credits as soon as you get them.
  • Profile Attacks - Attacking buttons on the Player profile page have been moved to the top of the list in the player actions.
  • Officer Rate - If the player is accepting officers you will now see their officer rate on the player page. Officers will always see their Commanders rate.
  • Accepting Officers - This has been turned into a toggle button, which will allow users to easily turn on or off their accepting of officers
  • Command Center Officers - A quick summary displaying the number of officers you have, the rate you provide, and the bonus from officers is now displayed in the Command Center
  • Command Center Ships - You will now see how many ships are in need of Repair from the Command Center
  • Weapon Exploration - This has been moved to the Command Center to allow ease of access.
  • Base Points - These have been moved into the Account Settings page (as you realistically only ever reassign these when you start out, or Change Race).
  • Technology - This page has been deprecated and all functionality has now been moved into the Research page .
  • Repair Shop - Damaged Ships no longer appear in the Current Inventory or Weapon's Exploration pages (They are damaged, so are of no use for either function).
  • Population Training - Population Training / Un-training have been placed in a single tab.

Misc Updates

  • Help Navigation - Help navigation has been added to the navigation to make it easier to contact the Admin Team, see the Forums, check for updates and view the Guide.
  • Guide - The guide has been updated to include all the most recent changes made to the game.
  • Game Statistics - A new page displaying some of the game Statistics has been added to the bottom of every page.
  • Server Time - The Server Time has been moved to the bottom of the page.
  • Repair Shop - Ships destroyed now go to the repair shop. Once here you can repair them for the cost of some bits of metal! (Currently all destroyed ships will be repairable).
  • Ship Costs - Food has been removed as a cost to buy/build and the metal costs has been increased..
  • Attacking - Attacking button has been moved onto the Profile page directly. (more attacks will be added here in future updates).
  • Metal Storage - Storage capacity is now based on upgrades. Formula: (1.6^ upgrade level)*12000
  • Food Storage - Storage capacity also based on upgrades. Formula (1.6^ upgrade level)*200000.
  • Mail - When using the reply link it will now create a mail chain of replies.
  • Commander/Officer Bonus - The bonus a commander gets in units has been modified to the following: (25/{# of officers} +5)*({officer rate}/30). This means with a single officer you get a bonus equal to 30% of their population growth, compared to the previous way it only was 15%. With 2 officers you get 17.5% of each and so on. Overall your bonus still goes up with the more officers you have but not quite as high as it used to be for those with higher number of officers.
  • Commander/Officer Bonus - The bonus an officer gets in income has also been modified to the following: (10/{# of officers} +5)*({officer rate}/30). This works similar to above decreasing with each extra officer, but not to the same extent.
  • Commander Power/Ranks - Added to the universe page at top. Power is based on the officers total attack power and covert power weighted at 99% and 1% respectively. The weighting helps hide the actual powers a little and is subject to adjustments in the future as covert levels go up higher.
  • Ships - The new column added in the previous update has been converted to a link which when clicked will transfer that number into the input box beside it (Thanks again to Saphirin)
  • Historic Battles - Redesigned page layout and added more info (Thanks Saphirin)
  • Tutorial - Added mission 16, new awards for missions 13/14/15, and new navigation at top of the page to switch between missions
  • Recruitment - Awards 25 free MV pts when you get someone to register and complete the tutorial
  • Ships - Added a column showing how many ships you can afford (Max) and modified layout on 'Resources on Hand' & 'Upkeep' sub sections
  • Universe - Page will now load on the page of your rank by default
  • Command Center - Modified Upkeep table to show growth & status
  • Player Page - Added a tooltip explaining Temporary Protection
  • The game has moved from Beta to Production, and players are playing for real. This is a non resetting game. All players start fresh.
