Ships
From level 1 to 3 the ships are all pre constructed and can be purchased from Military->Active Ships page. These ships are considered noob ships to introduce you to the game and are installed instantly. Each level will allow use of two new ships, each more powerful than the previous levels ships. Each ship has an attack and defense power which adds to your overall attack and defense power. To launch these ships they must have a trained Ship Crew aboard. Then to supply the ships you must have a support crew trained up also. To train these crew just go to Main->Population and you will find the required support crew needed. Without the support crew your ships will operate at a lower potential, and with zero support crew your ships will not provide any power and be totally defenseless. (ship crew will not die as long as the ship is not destroyed while the support crew will suffer deaths in attacks)

After you reach level 4 the game will no longer sell you pre constructed ships. Instead, you must build the ships yourself or buy them from another player. Once built the only way to sell the ship is on an open market to other players for whatever price you want. To build these ships you will have to go though the blueprint process described below.

Your SuperPower level must be equal to the ship level in order to launch the ship. You will be able to purchase any ship off the market no matter the level, but you will not be able to launch till your level meets the ship level.

Blueprints
To build a ship you first need a blueprint. To obtain a blueprint you must purchase it from the game. Each blueprint costs differently depending on the level of ship it builds. To be able to purchase a blueprint from the game your SuperPower level must be within one level of the ship that it builds or higher.

Once you have purchased a blueprint the next step would be to research the blueprint. Once purchased each blueprint is totally unique from others like it depending on the amount of research done. There is two types of research that you can do to each blueprint which will lower the cost to build a ship and lower the amount of time to build a ship.

A new blueprint has a materials waste factor of 40%, which means it will cost you 40% more to make that ship than normal. Each level you upgrade lowers the waste with the following forumula: 40/(1+level). It also starts out with a productivity waste factor of 80%, which means it will take 80% longer than normal to build the ship. The formula to lower this time is: 80/(1+level).

Once you have the blueprint researched to an amount you are happy with you can move onto production. Currently you can only build a max of 5 ships at a time. Once you have clicked to build anywhere from 1 to 5 ships, the blueprint will be sent off to the construction yard for building to start. When the building is finished the ship(s) will be placed safely into your Storage Bay and the blueprint free for more building or research.

The blueprint can only be in one place at a time, so you can not research and build from it at the same time. Also with your current construction/laboratory technology, you can only build from a single blueprint at one time. (So you can build from 1 blueprint and research 1 blueprint at the same time only now)

Each blueprint produces a different ship model, and the upgrades/costs will be different for each. Then to further lower the costs and times, you can research skills on the Main->Research page which are global skills for all blueprints. (Skills are described in detail below)

Building Skills
Building skills are not required to produce any of the normal ships, but will lower the costs and increase the speed of production. The first two skills listed below help with ship construction while the other two skills help with research. Each of these skills has a max level of 5. The time required to upgrade each skill is also shown below.

(1) Production Efficiency: Lowers the cost to build ships by 5% per level.
(2) Industry Construction: Lowers the time to build ships by 5% per level.

(3) General Productivity Research: Lowers production research time by 5% per level.
(4) General Materials Research: Lowers materials research time by 5% per level.
level (1) (2) (3) (4)
1 1 day 1 day 1 day 1 day
2 5 days 4 days 3 days 3 days
3 9 days 7 days 5 days 5 days
4 13 days 10 days 7 days 7 days
5 17 days 13 days 9 days 9 days
Total: 45 days 35 days 25 days 25 days
130 days to max skills

The time required to max out these skill is rather long, but if you plan on going into ship production it is a worthy investment. Also in the future with more advanced ship construction, having a certain level in these skills will be required. Also: two future skills will allow you to build from multiple blueprints at the same time and research mutiple blueprints at the same time.
